Install ACTower

Option 1 — Homebrew (macOS):

brew tap actower/brew && brew trust actower/brew && brew install actower

> The brew trust step is required by Homebrew 6.0's Tap Trust feature for all third-party taps (docs). Safe to re-run if already trusted.

Option 2 — cURL (macOS / Linux):

curl -fsSL https://actower.io/install.sh | bash

Open the app

actower desktop

That's the whole setup. The Monitor shows every agent already running in your tmux — no configuration, no ecosystem required. From the first minute, safe actions auto-approve, risky ones wait for you, and every decision lands on the audit trail.

Create your ecosystem

When you want the full workspace — not just oversight — go to Ecosystems and give it one short name: a single project or a whole company, same structure. Preview everything as a dry-run, confirm, and it's live: a hub that sees the whole workspace, starter specialist agents, a knowledge base, and slash commands. The full guide: Ecosystems.

This step is optional — governing the agents you already run needs no ecosystem. It's where the setup starts compounding.

Prefer the terminal?

Everything above has a headless equivalent:

actower monitor --all --classify --active --alert-done # TUI monitor
actower responder --auto --alert # auto-respond to safe questions
actower ecosystem init # create an ecosystem (wizard)
actower web # the app in your browser

Verify installation

actower doctor

This checks tmux, Python, and all dependencies are properly configured.
